Jazz in the City Closes with a Bang
Syracuse NY – The 2018 Jazz in the City neighborhood outreach concert series closes this Thursday at Le Moyne Plaza, with an extended event featuring the rock and funk duo SIRSY and other activities including a silent disco plus Kan-Jam and Cornhole Tournaments.
“This year marks a big expansion of this final event of the summer,” says Larry Luttinger, organizer of the series. “We’re thankful that the American Heart Association came to us offering a silent disco to raise awareness in this underserved area and get people out and active for heart health. Multiple campus organizations are taking part by offering competitive games with prizes, vendors of all kinds will be there, and plenty of food from Cam’s Pizza will be on hand. If you haven’t heard the incredibly funky SIRSY yet, here’s your chance. We’re lucky they’re making this gig a stop on their national tour. This will be one big street fair finale to close out the series.”
Parking is available in Le Moyne’s Lot C across from the Soule Branch Public Library adjacent to the concert.
Molina healthcare vendors and craft vendors will be present. Some seating is provided, but lawn chairs are suggested. No alcohol is served at Jazz in the City events. All details may be found at www.cnyjazzinthecity.org
